U just made the FIRST great video EVER about stances on youtube.

I purchased these for my twin 6 year old boys this season, and they have had a great time on the sledding hill. Their buddy ended up getting one as well since they had so much fun. A great introduction!

Literally life changing dude. I hade ACL surgery and I’d rent boards and they’d ALWAYS hurt my knee, so I gave up and took up skiing. Recently got a board and some second hand bindings and boots almost for free. I watched this vid and set my board up, and then I hit the slopes a few times now and no more knee pain. Thanks so much for demystifying this and making the best binding/board setup video on YouTube!

This is gold! It is all in the fine details. I see so many people just either buy a board from the store or get it as a gift and then go right out on the hill without ever touching the bindings or stance and then struggle for a long time. This is a very important video. Great stuff guys 👍👍👍

I've realized since watching your videos that I've have been adjusting my bindings to compensate for improperly fit boots my whole riding career. I've been riding 20 years. 8m buying a whole new setup for the coming season and can't wait to be riding with proper fit boots and bindings. I appreciate all the solid tips and advice you offer in your videos. Thank you for being a creator of good content.

Hi Thanks Tommy
I’m 5/9 and 58yrs old
Started snowboarding only a couple years ago w a long history of skiing.
After trying many different stances
I have arrived at:
All mountain board w a medium flex and hybrid base:
5/9 height 175 lb
159 cm board
21/22 in spread
And
Front at +30
Rear at 0
I’m right handed and board regular
Thanks for your video
It helped my carving
I enjoy carving and basic boarding w once in a while going on the flat things in the park
No rails for me lol
Anyhow
The new stance has given me better balance all around and now I can carve toe side like a beast, although my heel side carve needs my full attention to stay in it. I have a tendency to start a slide but I can get back into the carve if I try hard.
So in closing
Thanks

Great job articulating. Thank you. I freestyle ride and split-board back country. I'm now over 50years old so have to make sure I'm being as careful as possible, so I've been wanting to circle back an review how I've set up my stances. Thank you, EZ, for breaking it down per application. So Coolio. I've directed others to this channel. Ride on!

Haven’t even watched it yet but I’m really excited because it’s exactly the info I need right now!

Just learning to snowboard and really loving these beginner videos. You definitely have a great way of teaching.
When I got my board from the shop they put my front binding at 15 degrees and my back binding at 5 degrees towards the nose, not sure why.

Thanks again for the beginner videos.

Binding angle/lean ~ 6:20

Awesome video man, I recently just bought a 2014 lib tech lando c2 and I picked up some ride bindings, to make a long story short, I knew little to nothing about binding angles and lean until I watched this thoroughly 💯💯💯

I’m still looking for my best stance since a few years now. They amputated my left leg and ever since i’ve lost that feeling, but I’m still goofy though. Ever since looking for additional support for my stump, correct stance, angel of the prosthesis, ... I hope this year will be the year of perfection 🤔😁

I just bought my first snowboard last season and had a lot of trial and error with setting up my bindings. I really wish i woulda found this video first cause that jump trick to figure out what’s comfy was smart!

I ride a direction Libtech C3 Dynamo board with Union Force Bindings. Bing position is 15 degrees on the front and -3/6 degrees on the back foot for when i switch. It’s pretty comfy but can be limiting if I’m going fast.

Plus the tip about 20-22 inches feet apart i definitely appreciate that knowledge lol i have to go check my bindings distance now

Thanks for the great content!

Nice...I recently spent a couple of hours setting my stance for my "quiver" of 3, and didn't realize how important your stance and width of the bindings was.. I've only been at this around 3 years and my bro-inlaw who's been boarding for at least 2 decades says I made tremendous strides, now I can't get enough, 🤣 and I just turned 54.. but I'm a freaking athlete 🤣🤣 by the year 2022 I'm a be on your level... Allegedly 💯🤣 but serious thanks for all your tips..

Great video! The Never Summer Snow Trooper has the binding pack set back by 1 1/2 inches so you have to compensate if you want to ride it as a true twin. Set up my initial stance width by measuring the distance from the top of my knee while sitting ... 21” ... 5’7” with a 29-30 inch inseam

Well, just FYI I bought my board and bindings a boots at SnowJam a few years ago, Im a mechanical type guy anyway, so I watched videos, and played around and ended up setting my board 9degrees + and - because Im trying to learn to ride switch. I actually did some drilling and put a couple new holes in the backstrap to shift the boot heelside about 3/4 inch because I felt I wasn't centered toe/heel. And I allways carry tools jn the car, so I can make adjustment if I want to. One thing you might mention is when you are really sure you have your settings dialed in; take it apart one more time and reassemble with BLUE loctite. Having your bindings get loose while your boarding sucks, and if you can't get to tools; better stop; riding with loose binding screws can damage the holes, and it is expensive to fix them.
