You always say" not the prettiest weld" but you can't teach experience or real world application, something you are really good at bro.

I would be investing in a suitcase and brushing up on my flux core for this type of thing. Making it look good with the 7018 though dude!

I think if you watch a person enough times and you really want to know the art to the trade, you will figure it out..

Pardon me if this is a channel for only oilfield welders. Is a chill block a stand used to support something else?

I feel like the title of this video should be why you should weld in the most comfortable position possible to get the best weld possible. The second half showed welds at waist height that could be rotated making them pretty much all horizontal welds. Now imagine all those welds on the ground with no rotation going on. That would NOT be fun.

Don't get me wrong, I know the professor could make out-of-position welds but the question is why would anybody if they had a choice?

Processo MIG dava pra semi automatizar e fazer algo mais uniforme e mais rápido... Mas eletrodo sempre vai ser o mais barato aparentemente... Faltou o Joe aí...

Was this for your own business? Fab shops ive been in wouldnt have wanted you to "waste" the time to add chill blocks to the base of these stands to prevent distortion on the base plate. However, if this was my personal business, i'd want everything to be fucking perfect.
