We have lost a lot of our classic country brothers and sisters, country will never be the same

The most endearing thing about these appearances is that these people are of the age where there’s no filter any more. Whatever pops into their head comes out there’re mouths. Love it. Carry on……….

I'm glad there is the internet, tape, digital or combination of offering all of us the voice of Daryle forever. . . . . "and someday we'll give our life." RIP Daryle

Today is May 10, 2025 and the first thing I saw in my news feed this morning was the passing of Johnny Rodriguez. RIP to a dear friend I never met except through his music. And through these videos I can keep enjoying these wonderful voices that have gone on.

Jan Howard, Jean Shepard, Lynn Anderson, Norah Lee Allen, and Patti Paige are some famous names in country music that have all now passed. Barbara Fairchild, Crystal Gayle, Lacy Dalton, The White Sisters, Shelly West and Carol Lee Cooper are among the legends still living.

Mickey Gilley kissed me on the lips when I ask for his autograph. He said” you ever get to Houston, darling? It’s been over 40 years now but I fondly remember it to this day.

When I was just an itty bitty kid, my favourite song was "Cornbread and Buttermilk" sung by Little Jimmy Dickens. It was on a 78 rpm record that my parents had. That song stuck with me for nearly 70 years. In my opinion old country/real country is the best. There are still a few good country songs being recorded today but most of it should be called something else because what they call "country" today is not "country music".
