Really wish immortality was a thing. I'd love to see what our planet has in store in the next 100 million years

Realizing just how many changes our earth went through is so overwhelming and these guys do such a good job presenting such topics.

We have watched several of the videos in this series, but today, as we were transfixed by this one, it suddenly struck me how incredibly difficult (even with computers) it must be to accumulate, organize & edit all the textual & visual information, to weave it together so seamlessly to tell the story so well.
All the breathtakingly beautiful images of sky, ocean, Earth, together with high quality 3D animation, and an equally high quality narrative & narration synergistically produce the most
compelling, interesting, & informative documentaries ever, imho.
Thank you!!! Well done!!! 👍👍

The quality of these productions never ceases to amaze me. Truly wouldn't be out of place on the BBC. Keep up the good work!

These documentaries are so professionally produced, and so informative! I feel like I'm a kid, exploring and learning about the wide universe for the first time when I watch them. You see, I was taken-in at an early age by "young earth creationist" religious thoughts that simplified Earth's "origins" and "history" into a laughable mythology inherited from the Mesopotamian cultural speculations and traditions. Watching and learning from your documentaries makes me feel like I am catching up on all the things I should have learned decades ago in my life. Thank you for presenting your amazing videos to everyone. This channel is incredible!

This answers a number of questions I've had since college in the early 80s. Science progresses while the rest of my life took me away from my questions. These productions are the perfect mix of information, graphics, killer satellite photos, and both deep past and "deep" future. Enjoying these past episodes.

This is what the Discovery Channel once was.

Thank you so much for making this channel! As a person who grew up with cristian indoctrination, going to cristian schools I've always wanted to learn the real history of our little blue speck. Thank you so much!

Your videos are of exceptional quality. They create a cozy feeling inside and bring me back to my childhood, when every Sunday morning I was watching nature documentaries with my parents. I like the narrator a lot.

plans for this evening have been revised:
Get lots of food, sit comfortably and watch the new History of the Earth.

Thinking of how life evolved on Earth makes me wonder if a planet with much thicker oceans and no dry land would even be _able_ to evolve life as our planet had, since most breakthroughs involved the shallows. An interesting thing to investigate if we ever make it that far.

I've been reading book on microbiology and as I read it I literally hear your voice reading it in my head

This content is so far above the quality of most channels on YouTube that I am shocked and grateful that I stumbled upon it.

Absolutely fascinating, as always.
Edit: "compared to their charismatic continental counterparts" (at 28:08) is a delightful bit of alliteration.

I honestly find it amazing when a channel has nothing but praise in their comment section.

Imagine how much cross-referencing you have to do to make a map of plate movements by using magnetically polarized rocks as a guide.

I just love how documentaries give you a sense of the world around you in a way that you can't possibly experience in everyday life
