Cindy decided to downsize into a Tiny Home after realizing she didn't need as much stuff in her life. She purchased a $40k park model Tiny Home and moved to Acony Bell Tiny House Village in North Carolina. There she is living her dream life, and has even found a way to have the Tiny House pay for her living expenses by renting it out for 2 weekends every month (when she's traveling).

This is the most practical tiny home I have ever seen. No tiny stairs to a bedroom that is difficult to stand in. I could really see myself happily living there. Beautifully designed. The storage is a bit limited but doable.

Wow! That additional 3 feet of width makes an incredible difference. I have not seen a tiny home with such an open, spacious and welcoming kitchen with so many cabinets as this one has. I'm about Cindy's age, and her home includes all of the features inside one home that are often missing and have made me reluctant about everyday tiny home living. She has a comfortable and ample seating area, a dining table with 4 chairs surrounding it (vs a pullout table with side-by-side seating), a full-sized bath and shower, a plumbed commode, a queen-size bedroom that she can actually stand up and even move around w/adequate closets for hanging items. All of her appliances are full-sized and she has a washer and dryer. There's plenty of natural light with all of the windows. The additional side cabinets and countertop in the eat-in kitchen, as well as, having the space to have a large loveseat and chairs angled inwards, really make it feel so spacious. She could add a small cocktail table IF she wanted and that's a first for any tiny home. I like that the house lots are not on top of each other and don't look like a trailer park. Since hers is too wide to easily move, I do wonder how her "model" compares in both cost, maintenance and space to a single-wide trailer. I've not really been inside a traditional trailer home, so I do wonder what the advantages are for owning this tiny home vs a single-wide trailer. I've always lived in a single family home, but I'm getting older and paying for yard upkeep on half an acre in the metro area where I live no longer seems practical now that my children are adults and live on opposite coasts. I would love to be able to close my front door and leave for 3 months without worrying and I have little desire to travel in and live in an RV full time. Condos are available in the perfect size for me, but sharing a wall with neighbors isn't appealing.

Sorry for running on....

This is a perfect floorplan for me being disabled. Just add a ramp to the deck and I would be all set! Cindy has made a beautiful home for herself and the community looks lovely!

This tiny house goes on my list of one of the best and most comfy looking tiny homes I’ve ever seen. I wonder how many lots they have here.

I was loving her already, but when she mentioned Areatha and Koko, I was a goner! What a delightful lady with the greatest smile. Her home is so warm and cozy. I was smiling through the whole display. Wishing her loads of happiness.

I've found that a lot of the tiny homes built by/for senior citizens are so much more practical, comfortable, and sustainable than what I see people from other age groups creating. Cindy and her home are aspirational!

This is one of the more favored tiny homes I have seen. Each space seems like a regular home, especially the kitchen and dining room/office. Love it♡

I have a park model similar to this except mine has an extra bunk bedroom. These park models are built extremely well with 2x4 walls, plywood floors, pex plumbing and are well insulated . My park model is on 5 acres with septic, electric and well. Taxes are about $650 a year. Not bad for NY. I use it for a weekend getaway but eventually a retirement home.
