EXERCISE 16

GUIDELINES:

1. Exercise on i at a relatively fast tempo:
1-3-2-4-3-5-4-2-1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1. Start in your middle voice and work outwards.

2. Move your jaw slightly from side to side throughout the exercise to be certain you aren’t gripping. If you notice your jaw stays stuck, or you can’t make the pitches while moving, it can show you the level of your compensations.

3. We use i to keep the back of the tongue high- so remember this if you are having difficulty.

4. Watch out for any excessive laryngeal movement or pitch instability. Only go as fast as you can go cleanly without laryngeal shaking.

Stay tuned tomorrow for our next exercise which we will continue to add to our program!

I thought that that was my problem that my larynx is too “stuck in place” and that’s why I’m not flexible and I have to move it🫣
