This is size vs tech. SD has a LOAD of heavy turbo lasers and fighters with no shields and lasers. ENT has shields that laugh at lasers, phasers that would blow away the SD shields, and proton torpedoes that would light up the SD. It would be like a B-29 going against a F-16.

In this scenario, I think the isd wins, it’s just so much bigger than the enterprise that it wouldn’t be able to do enough damage (assuming the isd shields stop the enterprise from beaming a bomb on board). However, The federation has outlawed so many technologies that if they decided they needed something dead, it would be dead. Some examples:

Phase cloak
Spore drive (discovery)
Omega molecule
Warp 10 (voyager threshold)
Literally time travel (so many times)
Genesis device (the search for Spock)

So so so many more things. The federation is a sleeping giant. If they threw every treaty and agreement out of the window, they could fight the Borg, the dominion, and the empire from Star Wars all at the same time and still win


Also the isd needs to manually aim its weapons so it wouldn’t be able to hit much

If every tmp era combat vessel in starfleet merged into a large fleet and went to the Star Wars universe, I think it would be pretty accurate to say Star destroyers are gonna turn into forgotten relics
