Vietnam holds a state funeral for Nguyen Phu Trong, the leader of its ruling Communist Party who died on July 19.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to attend and pay tributes. After the funeral, Trong's hearse will be driven to a cemetery for burial.
