This new team is great but, not only do I miss Tiff, I miss Jonny too.

Had one for 4 months now just as a commuter and it's great at that in every way. Loads of room cheap to run and on the steel wheels a nicer ride than the alloys. If you want a drivers car look else were, if you want a cheap electric that ticks all the boxes can't fault it.

Been driving our new id.3 for about 3 weeks now and i cant really fault it. We do approx 150 miles a week around Bournemouth and Poole . Its a perfect town/city car. Saved us a fortune in fuel already . The only problem iv, e got is i just cant stop driving it. One very quiet, comfortable car.

So we bought one for getting everyday commute done. What I really loved about it when driving it, was exactly how unspectacular it behaved. It was just rock solid. This is a sensible car and they made every aspect of it so it's NOT about the car when you drive it. I also loved the automatic drive assist für the 60miles everyday that I want to be less involved in, instead of more. If you are looking for a car that doesn't want to shout in your face all the time how great, fun and fast it is, this is it.
The interior with the hard plastic you will just never ever touch in real life, also you get a heated steering wheel for a few bucks. I am totally thrilled for getting mine in a few weeks brand new!

Thirty grand?! You're having a laugh. You can have THREE Dacia Sanderos for the same price as that thing. And the Sandero is nicer inside!

I'm glad they made it so undesirable, it's dirt cheap on my company car scheme!
Apparently, the heat pump (a £1k option) sounds quite rattly, akin to a tiny diesel generator - its because the car is so quiet and its in the front, with the car's rear wheel drive!
Add in the poor seats, cheap plastics almost everywhere and rubbish infotainment, they could have done a much better job!

I love the car… but those touch sensitive infotainment button would stop me ever buying one. They would annoy me daily!

I have this car but higher spec (family pro performance). My last car was polo gti. This is a solid car with some nice features. Fairly quick too!

Like to see it side by side against the Cupra Born.

When I looked at the interior of one of these I was shocked at just how crap and cheap it was, it’s awful.

I drove it in the wet and found that braking could make the back end lock up. ESP did kick in but it wasn't a reassuring sensation. Bumpy corners made the back step out of line too.

i drive an electric car (ZOE) but it just feels like all the car makers are pulling our pants down with the price, like they are trying to make as much money as they can before we realise we are being ripped off. i would never buy a new one. £30k for an ID3 - you could have any manner of petrol exotica for that. instead you get a meh VW.

I took a test drive in one recently and really wanted to love it, ... But I didn't. It felt coldly utilitarian and, I swear, didn't feel as peppy as my current Zoe.

Such a disappointment.

Talked so much trash about it, literally didn't have anything great to say about it, but gave it a higher score than so many others that you did... Seems hypocritical

Cupra Born 231bhp version is faster, feels better inside and out. Bit more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth it. If anyone thinking to buy this car just go and check the Cupra before you buy this. 😉

VW must of heard so many complaints to do with 'non back lit' buttons....Why the hell are they still making cars with !!!

Chris Harris summed this miserable thing up perfectly, calling them dementors of the motorway that suck joy out of everything.

VW had software problems with this like crazy. They also bought a bunch of their own cars to meet that CO2 emissions goal, or they would have been fined by the European union. Bit strange that no media really talks about that.
