She's known for ending song of Lycoris recoil, Erased (boku dake ga inai machi), Kuzu no Honkai (Scum's Wish) heikousen, My Hero Academia, Fate series (fate extra),. I was really shocked to hear the news. 28 is way too young. May her soul rest in peace 🙏.

Considering she was suffering from a chronic illness and she also announced in July 25th, 2024 that she was also suffering from functional dysphonia (causes voice to sound stranded/irregular w/ no physiological or neurological explanation) and how frustrating it was.

Goes to show how you can be on top of world in health, career, or anything and the next minute or day, the rug gets pulled under you and your on death’s door. I hope she didn’t died in agony and was surrounded by friends and family. I loved her music especially the end theme of Lycoris Recoil. You will be missed and thank you for amazing music.

RIP

I actually refused to believe it when I first heard the news. I was just listening to one of her songs. She's actually one of my favourite Japanese artists. May she rest in peace.. 🙏

It's sad that most singers and talented people in showbiz die so young. Their lives always seem cut short to me. The only Bright side, in my opinion, is that we'll remember them in the best way possible. They showed their talent and hit many peoples heart. Rip.

regret.

So sad to hear of her passing man. Erased's ED was one of the first anime songs that I really really loved and listened to on repeat. And her other songs are also very good. It's definitely a shock, and i hope she found peace wherever she may be now.

I'm not prepared for this... Lycoris: Recoil ending is the best ending ever... Her voice is just so unique and that is one of my top favourite song ever... Knowing this, I'll be sad whenever I listen to this song, knowing I'll never gonna hear her voice in any new anime songs in the future...

Noooo 😭, I have a lot of her songs on my playlist. One of my favorite Japanese female singers. Functional dysphonia, she sang so amazing even with voice abnormalities, but that is not fatal so there is a different cause of death. 28 years old is way too young 😭😭😭. She had such a unique and beautiful voice, too soon to lose her 😭. I was just listening to her music MHA ending that randomized on my playlist this morning during my drive to college.

Sayuri was a crazy talented vocalist.
She was way too young to die, but I hope she's singing her songs in a better place now.

RIP

I became her fan by listening to only one of her song,
"Boku dakeka miteta
Kimi no koto
Kako mo mirai mo
Kanashimi mo yorokobi mo

Those lines, made me cry up, the way she sang it, the emotions she put in the song gave me goosebumps and still does...

And then I listened to her other songs, only a few, but still became her huge fan, I thought she could be the next Ado or Yoasobi, but still can't believed she died at 28.

It's also sad that she was married only 6 months ago, and I can't imagine her husband's situation rn.

As she mentioned in her song,
"Magire mo naku atatakai basho ga,
Aru koto wo shinjiteru"
(I believe unshakeably that an warm place exists...)
May she be in that warm place 🙏

Awww Mikazuki is always left out. It's the song that introduced me to her. Though I get I'm biased since I discovered the song at the right timing of my life then.
I agree that her voice is so unique that you know it's her when you hear it. To put it in words it's beautifully full of hope and despair at the same time and I say that in a good way.
I consider her ending song in BHA Eri's song.
