my biggest problem with this series is the lack of radiation relased from nuclear reactors overheating due to cooling water being shut off plus the radioactivity released from spent fuel when the storage ponds boil dry!

Aw, man! I love watching a good series that I missed when it was originally on. These recaps are even better cause they take 1/4th less if the time it would actually take to watch the real show! I mean, yeah I miss the drama that an actual show would have but I get to experience the show. This one is good, so I'm winning right now.

I think the biggest issue with having no electricity would be the medical side to things. Millions of disabled folks rely on medical machines or pills to survive nowadays. So most of the population would get wiped out and that is when natural selection will start to come to play. The healthiest and strongest will stay alive but the ones who are already chronically ill and need medical treatment to survive will die fast. Like I have no thyroid and need meds to survive. I have gone a long time without meds tho and survived but it makes living very hard and I can die from a thyroid coma if my hypothyroidism gets too serious especially since I have chronic infections that can set it off as well. Well when people go into comas, they usually are sent to the hospital to get treated for their conditions which in some cases require medical machines like breathing machines and iv drips. But without medical technology, most of the population would die off. Unfortunately and even back when people were alive without technology, it was very tough and tons of people died cuz they didn't have the proper medical treatment. So if anything, medical technology would be the worst thing to lose if our electricity went out.

I really felt this series jumped the shark so quick because the writers didn't know where to go after halfway through season 1.

in part 1 i swear i heard the recap guy say nora and miles were in a relationship prior to the blackout but in a flashback it shows nora as a little girl during the blackout ??
