After an unfortunate encounter in the garden, Simon’s Cat goes to great lengths to avoid an imminent visit to the vet. As always, the question remains - will his long-suffering owner Simon step up to the challenge?

After a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014 to make a longer film, ‘Simon’s Cat: Off to the Vet' became the first 12 minute Simon's Cat film to be produced in full colour.

A. Simon's Cat is made using Adobe Flash / TV Paint / CelAction animation software.

A. Even though the films are made on computer software, they are still hand-animated in a traditional manner, frame to frame. It usually takes between 12 and 25 drawings to create 1 second of a Simon's Cat film.

This guy is really a cat person. The mannerisms, the guy trying to get the cat in the crate, the way the cat refuses to come out of the crate at the vets, the howling in the crate to the vets and then his abject exhaustion once he gets home. This is my life with cats.

Absolutely nailed it, I laughed so hard. From trying to confine the cats inside subtley to trying to get them into the carrier to the vet experience and the shock of the vet bill. Been through it so many times. And the cat yelling the whole ride. How Simon looks driving the car is how we always felt. Always so stressful.

I've watched a lot of Simon's Cat, but this is my favorite so far. So relatable! Cat licking his sore, hiding when Simon gets sneaky, using treats as a lure, the fight to get in the carrier, loud meows on the drive to the vet, perfectly accurate vet routine, etc. Pure gold! The only difference for me ... my cats are always silent on the drive home ... like they know it's over and can relax.
