This is known locally in the UK as “WEEKEND AT THE ASYLUM” and is a great event organised by the Ministry of Steampunk. Whilst it has been held at Lincoln every year so far, next year it might not be, but it will be called “WEEKEND AT THE ASYLUM”. Sadly with audiences outside of Steampunk and the UK the word ASYLUM only conjures up negative stereotypes. I’m happy to refer to the event as Weekend at the Asylum in video and make it clear that is what it is but the title is not helpful in a youtube search, especially in the current climate.

Loved the opening, loved the drone footage and brilliant the see the mini skirt making a return (wow), all amazing! Good to see Mrs and Mrs Draper and Linda and Ian, all looking amazing too. There seemed to be a heck of a lot more Steam Punkers in Lincoln than Whitby and dam shame about the weather but good to see it was not in for the day. Some of those costumes looked amazing as did Lincoln Cathedral inside and out. Weather looking good at Whitby tomorrow, so I think I will see what the Pirate Festival is like there, cheers Alan

Wow, Lincoln SP is way bigger than Whitby. I think this year you definitely captured the scale of the event.
I love Nick's token gesture of goggles on the bucket hat plus the traditional all black ensemble.
