G9 LED light bulb FIX. Is your new light bulb not working or flickering then watch this.

I bought a brand new G9 light bulb it was flashing on and off plus it would just quit working all together. When I wiggled it, it would flash on and off so I came up with a solution. I hope this helps if your having the same problem.

Having shared this same frustration on and off for a few years, I tried a slightly less techie solution - wrapping the ends in tinfoil to improve the connection (blaming Dad’s 1970s Christmas tree lights solution for this!) needless to say the whole thing went pop.
I sulked, swore and decreed the five fixture we have with iffy G9 bulbs had to go… but a last minute Google search brought me here.

I have been dealing with my G9 Halogen bulbs only coming on when they're wiggled just like in this video (the video has LED, not halogen, but basically the same). Tried dielectric grease and it did not solve the issue. Basically been sitting in the dark in my dining room with 2/4 of the G9 Halogen bulbs working in our light fixture. Was just about to just replace the whole dang light fixture altogether which would suck because we really love it. Finally came across this video and decided to give it a try - nothing to lose. All I did was pull the ends of the bulbs out to the sides a bit. Popped them into the sockets and what do you know?! They worked! They have not been flickering and have stayed on for 30 minutes so far. AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I was thinking I may have to replace my entire light fixture after months of my g9 lightbulbs going off even after replacing them with new bulbs. Simple fix but just bending the connector out a little seems to be working! Thank you
