Scientists of a spin-out from the University of Oxford have developed a new technique to achieve nuclear fusion. The fusion technique is more straightforward, more energy-efficient, cheaper, and has a lower physics risk, so it would be commercially viable power generation from fusion.

Nothing like an Oxford degree!
Go for it!

So now it's only 29 years and 11 months left to go?!

The only sort of nuclear fusion we have is nuclear confusion!

Scientists from the University of Oxford should use the SI-system.

Not to sound like a crank or to rain in your parade but this technique was describe both as sonoluminescence and cold fusion before. Its interesting its being analised by serious scientists this time, thought...

So they make a small volume of water inside a large volume of water boil.

11, 233, 421 USPTO. It’s already done. Fusion at 1-2 watts. The Quantum Kinetic Well (tm).

The future power supply to suit the greens. That is untill a new wave of greens arrive on the scene.

I will tell Dr. Mitchell Swartz about.

"... the basis for the design of many modern fusion reactors ...". Since you don't even know that there are no functioning fusion reactors anywhere, clearly I need to block your channel.

Of course a flood of neutrons were detected. Not holding breath

Back, last year, I saw a video that talked about "synchronized hammer strikes, " and Nuclear Fusion, and that was the first and only information that presented the slightest hope that practical fusion power is possible. This video is more of the same crap that some corporate contractor puts out to try and secure more tax dollars to fund another enormous, expensive, and completely useless piece of junk.

using a robot voice tends to get pronunciation of the written word totally mangled in american.

Once again, we aren't going anywhere with that sort of fuel as there is mo source for it.

Interesting. Sounds like they combined the "Little Boy" (gun type Fission Bomb used to level Hiroshima) with the modern "flying lens" scheme used to make compact fission weapons-which act as a Detonator for the Ulam-Teller capsule, which initiates Fusion in thermonuclear, or "Hydrogen" bombs. The Von Neumann lens (Nagasaki) design is not relevant here.
True: fission weapons are bigger, and use chemical explosives, whereas this is more of a mini-Hyperloop.
The Stellerator failed (although the new Wendelstein 7x is Interesting.)
Tokamaks have been tried for Years
The Livermore Laser is a laboratory curiosity
"Cold" catalytic fusion didn't pan out, either
Boron-Hyrdogen "Direct Energy Conversion" is complex, and not spoken of much.
The Z-Pinch was hyped, back in 1998, but, it, too appears to have failed.

Let us see if THIS is the "Beginning of the Beginning."

So, an internal combustion engine. Those never break. What hubris.

It’s a waste of money. We cannot achieve the gravity that we need to create fusion.
