Many people in the city of Ephesus were preoccupied with magic and the powers of the occult. When the Apostle Paul performed astonishing miracles in the city, there were even some who sought to replicate the power of the Holy Spirit for their own benefit. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul warns us that attempting to manipulate the power of God will be met with disastrous consequences. Jesus is not a force to be controlled but a Savior whom we must receive and to whom we must submit.

“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with rejoicing.”
Psalm 107:31

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, 🎶🎶
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high his royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
His army shall he lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
Stand in his strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor,
Each piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls or danger,
Be never wanting there.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor's song.
To those who vanquish evil
A crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory
Shall reign eternally.

Endless mindless repetitions
Mutterings and finger pinching of beads
All are useless
Pray to the Father through Jesus Christ- the ONLY WAY TO BE SAVED

We are quick to obey man speaking against the things of God
Not so quick to obey God🙄
