This is about the best idea for an ez up type shelter I've ever seen. Been camping outside since I was a little boy back in the 1950's. I'm going to just see if I can fit this into my budget!

We have had our large clam since 2018 and love it. It has a small hole in the top that we need to repair but it has been awesome for us. We have sold our camper and are back to tent camping and I have decided that we are gonna try to put our tent inside the clam to have some added rain protection. It always rains on us and we never cancel our trips due to rain chances. Thanks for the review. We agree to the ease of this item and how wonderful it is. We have been in some great storms in this and it's still here. GO CLAM GO!!

Great review. I agree with most of your results. We use ours 50-60 days a year, and set up/tear down about 2/3 of those. One weak spot is the grommet on the nylon at the center. This popped on ours, which allowed the fabric to separate from the spider. What's normally a 60 second setup became 30 minutes! I was able to fix it with a fender washer, and doubt it'll ever break again. Another 'weak spot is that the bag does not hold up if you are constantly loading/unloading it on concrete. I'll replace ours sometime this year (just wear and tear). If you only set it up on grass, this probably isn't an issue. Love the walls. We have 5 of them, and in spring/fall/rain, they make a huge difference!

Worth every penny. A Genius design. I'm working on getting a Bend Teardrop and was thinking 270 canopy. BTW, I came from Highway to Hofeland because they recommended the Clam. This video and the Clam changed my mind. Thank you.

Cool! Thank you for the review. When I was in Quartzsite, AZ I notice several RVers had them. The wind get serious out in the desert.

We have the 9x9 Clam, and love it! Holds my Zero gravity chair, a GCI rocker and table, with plenty of room to spare. I put a larger outdoor carpet down for flooring.

Bonjour, great video, merci! Bought one this week, with 6 panels and rain roof. In the « take down instructions » page 6 they start by the walls, then pushing down one of the roof poles until it collapsed, so that way no need to jump.

Looks great! For camping perfect. Obviously you have to bend down to get inside, but that is ok. Wouldn’t be ideal for a family reunion but definitely has its use! If I camped I would get one!

After watching your first video and several others I bought the 12 foot clam and the side panels. It works very well for my outside kitchen and is easy to set up and take down. It even fits in the Lance front storage. The only thing that I am looking for is some sort of floor to go in the unit. Thanks for the videos!

Thank you. Best review I’ve seen on YouTube for this tent.

I just ordered the large pavilion size as it is the only Clam Quickset model that includes the attached wind screens. Excited to try it for two scheduled September camping trips in the Pacific Northwest. I’m hoping that it holds up to some rain. Looks cozy if we put Mr. Heater propane heater in it. You didn’t mention how well it did it rain or not in your demo and review. The demo and your review is very helpful!

I like a plunger idea. You can pick it up right in the center with one person and move it anywhere you want😂

How long is the bag? Trying to see if it will fit in the bed of our truck. Thanks for the info!

I bought the CLAM based on this review (and your other one). I hate it.

I received it today and followed the instructions and ended up getting it completely inside out. Support wanted me TO REMOVE EVERY SINGLE ROD, place the tent over the ladder and then reassemble the entire thing. They acted like this happens all the time and it wasn't a big deal (the tent is huge, there are tons of rods. It's a huge deal).

On top of that the quality is questionable at best. I didn't have it long enough before i gave up and sent it back, but there was a lot of loose stiching on the tent and in the carrier so I am amazed yours has lasted so long.

The only thing I can think of is they don't make them like they used to. I feel like I would be better off getting a cheaper chineese made one for less with the same quality.

Anyone else looking at this based on this review, beware. It's not all rainbows.

So good to hear - friends had one - several years ago and it seemed like a pain in the a…… to set up. This looked incredibly easy. It could have been our friends though 😂😂

Thanks for the review. Do you think the mesh restricts enough air flow that a portable AC could cool off the inside? TIA

Mine has door tent arms that need to be folded correctly, before you just drop it down and Velcro them how about you?
