I was 18 at the time that this movie came out and I remember watching it one night and seeing this CUDA.
Oh, I fell instantly in love, and my search began for my first car. I never found a 71’, because even back then they were kind of rare, and I was a young man, a very impatient young man. Back then you looked at cars for sale in the newspaper and I found one a few towns over and I ended up buying a 72 Cuda, which ended up being my first love.
The stories and the money that I put into that car, which I still talk about to this day, about how a teenage boy could be so in love with a inanimate object. Lol. I had so so many issues with the car, but loved it nonetheless. I never knew that this car had a history online with people that loved it the way it is described in this video, but yes, that is exactly the way I felt about this car in that movie. Crazy wild movie, but it was all about the car and the tall man. And that crazy insane metal ball. Lol. I appreciate you posting this video. It was nice to hear that. I wasn’t the only one in love with this car from this movie. ❤️💯👍

Big phan of the movie & the dope ass car. Sure it’s a low budget film but phantasm was apart of my child hood. Found it by accident, staying up late on a school night, on TNT. Fell in love with it.

I wan this car so bad. It’s my dream car. My father showed me this movie when I was 6. I’ve been a fan of horror movies and cars since. He turned into an alcoholic and I don’t speak to him anymore but this movie always will speak to me.

The 1971 Barracuda is, to me, the best MOPAR ever made, and the coolest car ever, in my eyes. I want to find an affordable 71 (impossible even if it’s just a rusted skeleton at this point) and rebuild it to look like this.

Iconic. Nothing else to say. My brother bought one and fixed it up and it took him five years cuz you don't have a lot of money. He drove me down to the beach in that car it was a great night we drank a 12-pack and listen to the Cars.

This is my favorite car this is my dream car I watched this movie in the movie theaters me in my Big Brother we always said that this was our dream car I'm still trying to buy this car I had the chance about 15 years ago in Long Island they had a hemi for sale black the same car it mine have been a 73 but it had the same body and they had a for sale for like $10000 I didn't have the money at the time but I'm beating my head against the wall during grab it and pay for that cause now I can't find this car anymore
