I haven't mixed in about 10 years. My life fell apart, I lost my girl friend, child, house, car, money....I needed something to get me back. This month I decided to mix music again and I realized I'm completely out of touch and out of practice. Music is such a HUGE part of my life and I need it back in my life. If the one thing I can get back from my old life is some nostalgia, I'll take it. Thanks for the vid, I think this will help me get back on track :)

Absolutely agree with you that you don't have to touch knobs all the time just to look busy. The song itself is still the most important part of all this!

I have only been listening to trance and other genres intently for only 1 1/2 .to 2 years.It was an instant love and it didn't take long after watching the festivals on YouTube Liquod soul..capt hook..asterix etc. I was hooked ..I don't know how to mix or even play any instrument whatsoever ..my first taste of creating anything musical was an app called Groovepad..I've crreated some interesting pieces..some good some horrible..well I'm still below a rookie but I decided I'm putting on a rave and I'm going to be a dj..lol I'm buying a pioneer 400 to start ..I've got 2 jbl 300s I bought in Nov. Yesterday I bought the beast jbl 1000.. im saying to friends and others I'm going to be a dj mostly trance type music ..im creating a business of supplying music for parties ..weddings etc I'm creating a large unique lighting system with govee strip lights mostly the dreamcolor strips..I've got 1laser rave light ..and another .laser light box..smoke machine ..my music fest is going to be in July. 23 ..on that day I turn 65 yo..and I will learn to dj in one month and create a rave music fest from start to finish all by myself..ill be using others music that I love and do my best to create my own and use the dj pad on.my jbl 1000...ill get the speaker weds June 23 and I can't wait..the rave is going to be way out of people area on a river that only atvs and 4x4 party there...it will be the launch of my new business
..I have one month to complete my goal wish me luck I'm just winging it with no help or teach me how to dj ...all done by only me

This is as close to the way I DJ as I've seen..
& I've been doing it for so long now (club & parties)
The only difference is, I use 4 decks, even if I don't use them all the time they can come in handy.
You don't really need samples with good trance,
I still have my mixtrack quad,
Phil has this to a Tee,
No gimmicks, just USE the music..
