Data protection should be in everyone’s mind. It should not just be a concern of corporations but individuals as well. Most people think they do not have anything valuable that others can take but your data is worth more than you think. Taking the appropriate steps can help reduce the risk of data loss. Have you ever thought about learning more about Data Protection and getting into this growing field?

In this webinar, we will look at ways to reduce the risk of data loss and also give you some tips on how to get into the Data Protection field.

[Speaker Bio]

Carolina is the Senior Manager of Data Protection & Insider Threat at United Airlines. In her role, Carolina ensures an appropriate level of data and privacy compliance. Prior to United, Carolina worked in Application Development at NiSource, a power company in Indiana. There, she was one of the two women in IT department. Carolina has over 10 years of experience in various areas of IT. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Purdue University. Originally from Mexico but residing in Indiana.

Along with taking on challenges in the cybersecurity world, she also provides mentoring to many interested in the field. As an advocate of diversity in the field, Carolina has mentored several young adults part of the non-profit program Year Up, many of them who have gone on to do big things in the cyber world. She also holds networking events with a close friend to talk about her culture and share the experiences of a Latina in the corporate world.

Carolina has learned to balance work and personal life, as a mom of 3 kids and 2 puppies she loves spending time with family, attending sports events, being their #1 fan and at the same time doing what she loves at United.
