It's a Matter Decompressor.. costs about 12000 Alloys and 5000 Unity to build, has an upkeep of 100 Energy Credits and outputs about 2000 raw Minerals per month

Anton you are the most wholesome and awesome science communicator on YT. Every day I learn something new and come away feeling positive. Thanks for doing what you do, you are loved and appreciated and of course a wonderful person 🙏🏻

All these events we call "unique" are probably repeated time and again in the universe! We are seeing so much for the first time because our scientific observations of the cosmos are only beginning to reach much beyond our own planet! It is exciting!

Thank you, Anton for educating us!

I feel like I’ve learned so much from listening to Anton’s videos, but my favorite part is great smile and wave at the end. Keep up the great work.

Somehow, after all these years, after literally hundreds of videos on the subject, you still manage to make a “black hole” video interesting and exciting Anton! Thank you man!

I like Anton for so many reasons it brings tears of joy to my eyes. A wonderful person indeed.

I can relate.. Sometimes, I get really bright for a moment, and then get really dim once again. It's almost random, and apparently can get even more bizarre after a rare event. Wife also believes it has something to do with "gasses" and "emissions." Hope this made all the wonderful people laugh a little! 🤣

I hope there are teachers like wonderful Anton! He explains things so well that an average person like myself can understand most of the things he teaches. Thank you wonderful Anton!

I didn't realize orbital decay could be arrested by Roche instability because the shed mass acts like reaction mass. That is _fascinating_ and because of conservation laws makes total sense, but I hadn't even considered the possibility. Thank you for teaching me something. Few can do that.

Einstein repeatedly said that singularities/black holes are not possible. He wrote in 1939 -
"The essential result of this investigation is a clear understanding as to why the Schwarzchild singularities (he was the first to raise the issue of Relativity predicting singularities) do not exist in physical reality. Although the theory given here treats only clusters (star) whose particles move along circular paths it does seem to be subject to reasonable doubt that more general cases will have analogous results. The Schwarzchild singularities do not appear for the reason that matter cannot be concentrated arbitrarily. And this is due to the fact that otherwise the constituting particles would reach the velocity of light."
He was referring to dilation/gamma. It's the phenomenon our high school teachers were talking about when they said "mass becomes infinite at the speed of light". This doesn't mean mass increases, it means mass becomes spread throughout spacetime relative to an outside observer. Time dilation is just one aspect of dilation, it's not just time that gets dilated. Even mass that exists at 75% light speed is partially dilated.
It occurs wherever there is an astronomical quantity of mass. This includes the centers of very high mass stars and the overwhelming majority of galaxy centers.
Our own galactic center is dilated. This means that there is no valid XYZ coordinate we can attribute to it, you can't point your finger at something that is spread throughout spacetime. In other words that mass is all around us. It's the "missing mass" needed to explain galaxy rotation curves.
Dilation does not occur in galaxies with low mass centers because they don't have enough mass to achieve relativistic velocities. It has been confirmed in 6 ultra diffuse galaxies including NGC 1052-DF2 and DF4 to have no dark matter. In other words they have normal rotation rates.

Super interesting! Witnessing the potential interactions of such extreme events in the cosmos is thought provoking. It's like watching entropy offer up a farewell lightshow.

PBS spacetime actually just covered this as the first time capturing astrophysical jets forming from a black hole.

Wow! An amazing observation. To see such a massive object around a black hole. Fabulous stuff. Thanks.
