Shout out to Jay C for inspiring me to make a new hat!

(Did anybody notice my new housemate in this video? 👀)

Couldn't a witch hat also be circle headwear? The brim is already round and you can make a cone using a circle

Thank you! I have a minor obsession with dusters/long vests. I was hung up on how to calculate armhole placement, problem solved. Now to make a dozen or so!

I never thought to use fabric for a beret. I have crocheted many. You make it look sew easy to do. I don't sew easily, but I might just have to give it a try. Thank you for making it look so easy

Why is it that pets HAVE TO lie down on large pieces of fabric that we spread out on the floor?? Lol

Very cute beret! Did you know that a tam o'shanter can literally just be a circle pleated to a little band? I believe it is the true circle skirt of wool hats. Very jaunty.

You can also gather a larger circle to make a nice beret-like hat.

I made a tam o’shanter for my son to wear on hat day. It was so cute.

From a handknitting designer: a french beret is knit around the circle one (odd-shaped) pie-slice at a time, and the start/end are grafted together. It’s knit too big and too loosely, then felted/shrunk on purpose. The beret is turned purl-side out (showing what is usually the inside of a sweater). That gives it a better drape even after felting.

Scottish tams are knit from the edge in circular motion, ending in the middle. Many hats called berets are knit like a beret.

Beats me anything about sewn circle hats...! I think I would love to try sewing from a loosely-woven tweed/boucle/ or knit fabric and again felt by hand (this gives really good control over the resulting shape, unlike tossing into a washing machine).

I love the long “vest” and feel adding sleeves and a circular “cape” to it would make it a cute coat

Morgan! Love the circular patterns. Also love that you are enjoying over 300k subs. I was with you when you were at 30k and said something like, "You have such a great channel. You should be at 300k not 30k". And here you are, and climbing!!👏👏👏

The long coat kinda has that Burgundian vibe to it; that 15th century goodness. Now I want to make some winter circle garb!

Your video inspired me to try making a circle skirt out of an old pair of jeans. Still working on it. Will report back :)
