For the layman guy who isn't afraid to do their own work, these videos are fantastic. Just bought a house that needed a gravity furnace replaced, upgrading the ductwork myself is going to save me almost 2k and 25% off the bid. Use that money for a more efficient furnace to save even more money!

I am putting in a duct from a bathroom vent to the roof. I could orient the crimps for ideal airflow like in this video. Or I could orient them so that any condensation drips back down through the fan instead of into the attic. I assume I should do the first option since if the fan and duct have been properly sized and insulated, there shouldn't be much condensation in the first place. Is that right?

I am in the process of framing my basement.  My upstairs had the sheet metal tubes but I have seen some of your videos showing the "flex tubes" that are insulated.  Which one should I use?  What are the pros and cons?  I live in Utah in a very dry climate with a good bit of snow in the winter.

Just like a gutter downspout. Wish you were still making videos as I really learn from you. I'd like to see a complete new construction gas furnace install with thorough overview and explanation of each piece of sheet metal and options. Everything on youtube is piecemeal, too dark, too shaky, incomplete etc.

when I inspect a client's duct work, this is the number one problem I come across. Some installers a too damn lazy to crimp like they need to.

Wouldn't it be cool if maybe they made some kind of paint like putty with fibers in it that could seal all the little holes in the duct so the staic pressure wouldn't drop.
