Dang, as a CFI myself, I would say she would be a fantastic CFII to get your IR with. Her teaching style is firm and strict but not rude. Bummer shes leaving!

One of my favorite things about doing advanced flight instruction was having enthusiastically friendly conversations about everything and anything while we learned about specific types of flying 🥰

Thanks for showing folks that human beings flying airplanes are very much like human beings on the surface.

Experiencing serious flight instruction nostalgia! This is a great example of what a delightful day of flight training with great advanced students on the fringes of busy airspace is really like.

Galveston! My home town, and the first airport I ever flew out of.

Awesome video Noel!! Less than a week ago, during the Easter holidays in the UK, I did my 1st ever Solo flight! What an amazing experience. I have no words to describe it. Really nice to see you flying a new aircraft type. The Cirrus SR20. One of my favorite light aircraft. 😍😍😍😍

Looks like a huge improvement over the Piper. Your seatbelt is not positioned correctly 😅

Thanks for posting, Noel. I lived on the Island for several years in the Eighties, and it was good to see it from the air. Good luck on your training and travels.

Definitely check out the George Observatory! It’s part of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and located in Brazos Bend state park. There are certain nights when they open the big telescopes so the public can look through! I’ve seen Jupiter, Saturn, etc through the scopes and it’s incredible. Good for the family too. Go enjoy the afternoon in the state park (pack lunch/dinner) then head over to the Observatory at dusk. It’s a late night but very worth it. One of my fav special things to to in Houston. I’m from there, though now living in Chicago. :)

I had a few boxes of stuff surface shipped by sea when I moved to Colorado from London. When I came back I just had a yard sale and put stuff on Craigslist like a proper American!

Jean Michel Jarre called the Houston skyline the most beautiful he'd ever seen before performing his epic concert Rendezvous Houston.

Attending a rodeo in Houston is quite the experience for someone who did not grow up there, but to someone from the UK, it will really be an experience. Growing up in the Midwest & moving to The Woodlands from Florida was a shock. It was expensive 15 years ago I can't imagine the price today. Everyone was wearing a cowboy hat, so we each bought one. Expensive. What do you think of the Texas accent & everybody sayin y'all or all y'all! I'm looking forward to your travels on low cost airlines, but don't envy you. I hope you aren't trying to get to Hobby during rush hour! I would have missed my flight one time due to traffic except it was late arriving to Hobby. Last time I flew out of Hobby. but Continental was the same price as Southwest from Bush which was much much closer! Bonvoyage on your trip! See you there!
