IDK if mumbo's gonna read this but I've discovered through experimentation that you can create a completely invisible hidden switch by doing a staircase matching whatever block type should be present there and waterlogging it, triggering an observer that's monitoring the block. Completely undetectable, nobody would know unless they built it.
