Historic Gilroy Yamato Hot Springs Full Private Tour

I recently was able to book a tour of the Hot Springs and filmed the experience for others to enjoy who may not be able to do so. The site is closed to the public, but has suffered vandalism over the years in addition to natural aging which as worsened it's condition. Thankfully, through the dedication of a handful of volunteers, the site has been undergoing various restorations. While a path to reopening may not be clear yet, through volunteer work, the condition of the hot springs continues to improve.

I grew up in Gilroy country kid went to Rucker School, jordon, Brownell. My family and I went there as a child. my mother made my dad takes us. She said it was good for this and that make your skin soft blah blah. we were in doors private room. Not out on the creek. A big room made of cement can't remember what the outside looked like. Hot water. WE wore swim suits. 😊 Cool to see them again after so many years❤ looks so different surprised they are still there. Thank you so much for video brought back a flood of memories. Good ones. Blessings to you.

Wow, I've looked longingly across that bridge. Never knew they ever opened the property. You are a good egg sir, for documenting the journey. I never knew it was so large; and that so many structures remain. I've seen lots of historic photos of the Gilroy Hot Springs.

It's looks torn up now but early 60s it was a nice place.

The vast majority of the structures are straight tear-downs or winter burns (after stripping asphalt shingles and composite tiles). But if there's any hot water left then it could make a cool park, very pretty in the spring. Thank you for the tour.

Those buildings are in pretty poor shape, but really cool. I’m a retired Firefighter, (CalFire) but before that, I worked as a Carpenter for several companies in the San Jose/Santa Cruz area. I also owned my own Woodworking company for 20 years that I ran on my days off as a Firefighter. If the Park ever got serious about fixing the property up, I’d definitely be interested in volunteering.
