Dawn Dish Soap in Foam Cannon Detailing

Contrary to the all the crying people. Dawn does NOT damage paint. It’s a great strip wash. Work vehicles with owners who dgaf about coatings just want their heavily soiled and greasy cars cleaned. Dawn is your friend.

I use Dawn on every new first wash on clients vehicle then I do another foam with dedicated high quality pH neutral soap after Dawn wash The Dawn helps break down the baked on grime and makes the job easier. only do this on the first wash . after you decon the paint and add protectant. you want to avoid it. you can use it for wheel type and brake cleaning though. I add it to P&S brakebuster in pump sprayers to create more suds. can also use on your crud in cup holders. I use one single drop of it in di water added to a spray bottle for streak free window cleaning..no need to buy glass cleaner. just use clean water and literally one dot of Dawn added. I'm a detailer and Dawn is an absolutely great product to use in certain instances. those guys just want to make you think you have to buy the most expressive stuff when. cheaper alternatives are sometimes better.

Used it for the first time ever yesterday (in my foam cannon) on my dirty boat. Worked VERY well. Followed by a fresh coat of marine polish. Highly recommend for a boat that’s dirtier than normal.

Dawn Dish Soap has been my go to cleaner for 30 years. If their out of Dawn at the local grocery store I buy Sunlight. Both are terrific. 👍

Dawn is made with sodium Laurel sulphate and so is all car wash shampoos that cost 10 X more . I use to be a lab tech in the detergent industry .

Dawn is a great car wash soap if you are going to "start over" on your protectants. It strips waxes and sealants, so you

Dawn soap is the best! I used to work at a body shop in the 90’s and that’s all the owner would buy and give to the painters to wash the cars before painting..no fish eyes no greasy spots left behind…works like magic👍🏻

I regularly add dawn & water to store bought car wash as an extender. It works well. The dawn is strong enough to handle being diluted and it lessens the wax stripping effect of full strength dawn.

Used it on my 1964 Honda 305 Dream to remove road grim and greasy oily grit built up in cooling gins and on front and lower engine case let it sit a bit -used very mild agitation with a horse hair brush and blasted it away
Really brightened up the chrome and took all the chain splatter off instantly back to nice clean shiny chrome

Dawn is perfectly fine...look how nice that foam looks....its safe enough your hands and baby ducks...you really think it will damage clear cote that can withstand crazy temps amd snow???

I always put some regular dish soap on the foamer, its way cheaper than other surfactants and if you don't use too much it's fine. I personally use 3 parts of car shampoo and 1 of dish soap.
