Another inspiring episode thank you Constance 🌟
Your top is superb & I can understand your reluctance with white but it's so pretty with those Lacey sleeves. As for your dress!! Oh my goodness it's so pretty. I admire your perseverance with the shirring elastic. I'm in my 60's & never tried it as it always looks so difficult, coupled with the fact that I've very rarely made a garment, but I hope to read a few tips if people share on here.
I haven't cast on any new socks for a while now but your shortie ones could tempt me back. It looks like a beautiful pattern. 🍃🌸🍃

Very nice Aster sweater. I’d like to try that for a summer sweater.

Love your finished sweater! It turned out so pretty!!
I totally could relate with your struggles with the shirring on your dress. I love the Washi Dress pattern by Made by Rae and it has shirring just on the back. My old sewing machine sewed it beautifully but my machine died last year and my husband surprised me with a band new nice machine and it will not do shirring for nothing! Ugh! Hope you can get yours to cooperate for you.

That sweater fits you so perfectly! I've never seen that combination of crochet and knitting before, and am intrigued. Your finishing is really at a professional level... So impressed! I remember making shirred sun dresses back -- well, let's just say, a loooong time ago :) -- so it's fun to see the style come back. I'm guessing the newer machines are a lot more delicate than the old clunkers we used to have, and that may be the reason the elastic thread in the bobbin gave you trouble. The other thing that occurs to me is that your fabric may have had a little crisper texture (being linen-look), which could make it harder to gather than a lighter-weight, smoother cotton. You might want to try a test swatch of a quilting weight cotton just to see if it works better with your machine. Love your channel! Can't wait to see what you make next!

I love your shirred dress, so classic all in white! I had quite a few struggles with shirring too, don't find it easy but am planning to practice with McCall's M7901 blouse. Then after i saw your podcast I thought, how weird would it be if Constance plans to practice with the same pattern? Because you mentioned yours is a McCalls pattern
