Salsa originated in the 1900s in Cuba 🇨🇺 where rhythms from the two main existing styles of music in the region (Cuban Son and Afro-Cuban rumba) were combined to create a new dance. This new rhythm was combined with American jazz and taken to New York by Cuban musicians. Many Great Latin Countries have contributed to this Amazing Music ! My daddy is Puerto Rican my Mama is Mexican so we love to dance my parents taught us at a young age and when we went to parties or weddings my parents would say if your not dancing your sitting cause you ain't running around actin a fool..lol... So of course all eight of my sibling dance salsa.. I love this mix. It reminds me of so many good times and dancing with my parents who caught everyone's eye every time they were on the Dance floor and now there dancing in Heaven❤.

Ngl I’m a black man, but I was born in Fajardo Puerto Rico, I grow up in the hood in Boston tho, but my mom was with a Spanish man from Arroyo, very clean smooth, good hygiene, he’s been in my life since I was 3 yrs old to 16, he taught me how to get ready in the morning, how to work out, how to wash your car, we played baseball, but his English was horrible, but it didn’t stop us from being together as 2 men. This is the kind of music he listened too. All day everyday. But when my people look at me they don’t see a Spanish man lol but it’s in my soul. I love salsa .
