Ape Song: Who Can Sing the Loudest?

🚨 APE-RIL FOOLS! YOU’VE BEEN GIBBON A PRIMATE PRANK! 🎤
That sound echoing across the zoo? Not howler monkeys—it’s siamangs, the largest of the gibbons (AKA small, tailless apes with built-in megaphones).
Siamangs like Bahasa and Charlotte use their powerful throat sacs to belt out duets that carry over two miles—singing to bond, defend their territory, and absolutely dominate the morning soundscape. But in the wild, their voices are being silenced as their rainforest homes disappear.

My favorite!!!
Howler monkeys!!
I have many pictures of them at the LA Zoo...the trainer shared lots of great info like their names and ages all while she was feeding them dinner 😊

There used to be a wonderful commercial for Toyota in Germany...
And the Howler monkeys would sing Toyota with their mouths wide open while swinging through the trees.

It was my favorite!!!
The best❤❤😂🎉

The siamang is the loudest because he can let out a loud hooting call.
