That dragon/tiger fortune machine thingy was one of the coolest things I've seen on one of these videos.

The zodiac seem to be ordered right to left, from rat to pig, which makes the mystery foxy one dog.

Pig, Dog, Rooster, Monkey, Goat, Horse, Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, Tiger, Ox, Rat

I really like how you always manage to make the less touristy area really appealing and how you always are very enthousiastic about everything, without overeacting and making it sound fake. You two really have a special relationship and find beauty in everything.

The shop with the robot vending machine is a great dagashiya (old school cheap candy store) and the statue Kyde high fived is Tora-san, hero of the beloved movie series "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo" Shibamata is associated with.

The new camera is really opening up your videos, especially the low light shots at the shrine.

Can't believe you guys did both of the Katsushika videos in 1 day, that's a lot to pack in. Those fried pork katsu filled with cheese though 😋😋😋

This video has everything: soup disasters, cats and robots.

Shibamata is famous for the very popular Sowa Era movie Tora-san Series 『男はつらいよ=It is hard to be a man』. They made two movies a year, one for summer, one for New Year for 20 years from 1969-1989 until the lead actor died. (32:00 is the Tora-san Stature)
Kameari is famous for the very popular Manga series 『こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所=Here, Police station in front of Kameari Park in Katsushika Ward』published from 1976-2016. The longest comic series published. (0:22 are the Manga Charactors)
Most of Japanese people know the name Katsushika for that reason. Also Katsushika Hokusai was born this area in Edo Era.
Not as upper class but as working class area in history.

Holy moly it got real fast. We went from anime characters to awesome restaurant to gallows. It seems so out of place because it looks so mundane. This is why your videos are so great you never know what’s gonna happen next.

I really like these videos with parts of Tokyo that are out of the normal tourist areas.

Those streets near the end of the video were magical.

I love that you guys appreciate the worker food! that's the good stuff, forget the fancy super nice looking expensive mess and go with what the construction workers eat. Katsushika looks like a really nice little ward, sort of like a smaller town inside Tokyo (I know it's on the outskirts, but yeah). That temple was amazing!

Just saw you both on Gimmeabreakman, Two and a Half Oyaji's live stream, and was excited to see you again. Somehow, I lost track of your channel (?) about 6 years ago, so now I'll binge watch from where I left off and catch up to your current posts. You both look the same, haven't aged at all.
I started watching your channel when you were driving and sleeping in your car traveling in the U.S.
Looking forward to watching you again and thank you for sharing your life with us.

Loved the pace and feel of this video! Very unique look at a neighbourhood most people would miss. Looking forward to more of these local videos, there are some benefits of covid.

1:02 Japan got me hooked on the ginger highball. They seem to be everywhere, every restaurant and conbini has them.

Oh my God, I've never heard Kyde scream with such genuine fear before

17:12 that "Kusa dango" doesn't have any "Maccha". Usually "Kusa dango" includes "Yomogi (蓬/よもぎ)" which is mugwort.
