Rented a California T the other day and man, the sound is incredible in these cars. They nailed that. Speed wise and driving wise I don't have much to compare to seeing as I had never set food in a car of that magnitude before but it ripped just fine for my needs ! Ferrari just understands optics and the importance of engine sound.

I don't understand why people hate the cali. Yeah it's very cheap (for a modern Ferrari) and the front end looks like an f body camaro/trans am but it's still an f car through and through. I wouldn't mind owning one. It's no 458 or anything but I'll take this over any similarly priced astons, 911s (expect for gt3s and turbo s) and maseratis. Hell, I'll choose this over any c8 any day.

We bought our Ferrari California 2014 last November ! It had 8, 600 miles! We are the 6th owners! We love our Ferrari! We really enjoy this car. So far we put about 5, 000 miles on this car! Hey, Life is too short! We only live once. Enjoy it while we can.

This is my favorite Ferrari that I can actually afford. I hope to own one some day if the used car market actually approaches sanity at some point in the future.

As it turns out, the California actually received mostly excellent and positive reviews. The mixed review myth is basically gaslighting based on some sort of sway in public opinion after automotive journalists reported on it. Why would this happen? I suspect some wealthy folks wanted to drive the prices down so they can buy them up and sell them at a profit once they started getting attention on the used car market, but that’s just a guess.

Even if you control for the inflated prices in the used car market over the past year or so, the price has gone up considerably within the past 6 months. Public opinion is swaying back towards what the journalists originally reported. It’s fascinating actually. I just hope the prices drop down back into the $70-80k range before they start to appreciate longer term.
