I only found 2 wires to the starter. One large and one small.

Thanks, this video helped give me the idea I needed to get 1/4 inch more play. In my case, with a 2002 suburban Z71, I did need to remove the big wire first. Did that with a small air wrench on the 13 that holds it. I had next to no wrench throw room between the exhaust and the frame so the air ratchet was key since it does not need to move while working.

It is not as hard as you say. You do not have to take the wheel and liner off to take the wires off first. Once you take the two starter bolts out you can move the starter back and turn it down (with the nose cone and gear point to the ground) there is more than enough slack in the wires to reach up and take them lose from underneath. I replaced the starter on my 2002 Tahoe this way in about 15 minutes. Also you said to take off all three wires there are only two wires to take lose the one large one coming from the battery and the small ignition switch wire.

I heard that if a started is stuck is it true that every time power goes to it it'll turn on does that mean the starter is going bad?

I appreciate the video and it has helped me but if your not going to work safe with jack stands I am not supporting you..Seriously I have pulled more than one person out from under a vehicle....SHIT HAPPENS!

You need a better jack and some stands man God forbid should you get crushed. Go to harbor-freight they have some good prices
