The horizontal live edge (wavy edge) was fantastic! What a great look. Excellent video showing the different styles of sidings.

Far and away the most educational sawyer video on the internet. So thankful for finding this channel and am seriously considering buying a sawmill myself given what I've learned here

I love board and batten. My dad used to do live edge board and batten. Or I guess it would be what you call reverse board in baton but with live edge pine. Looked really cool. He actually did it on the walls of his "man cave". He has a mixture of different species. He installed poplar and pine and hickory. Very interesting looking setup. And he had the walls covered with antique saws and planters and grain grinders and different things like that. Kind of like a cracker barrel restaurant.

I used Wavy Edge ( live edge) Hemlock back in 1954 when we pit up a house in Upstate New York and to this ay it is still holding up great.

All of your products are fantastic. I particularly like the Wavy Edge siding myself as the live edge sets off the color and grain of the wood. Thank you for another great video.

Good morning everybody hope you're doing well today. I'm gonna go with the same siding that I have the lap siding. The lap siding with the live edge looks great. Y'all take care and have a blessed week and try to stay cool and I'll see you on your next vidja.

Board and Batten has been my favorite, but i hadnt seen the reverse board and batten before. that looks about just the same, and seems much easier to install.

Great videos. I wish you all the best with your business. I am impressed by how hard everyone works and how well they do it. I am glad to see the girls wearing hearing protection. Hearing loss is no fun at all. I don’t know what caused my hearing loss, but it really limits certain activities. Best wishes to you all.

I so thoroughly enjoy your videos! Have been binge watching since I found this.

Love the beams. Not many will custom cut beams anymore. I reclaimed some 12x12x20 fir beams from an old grain elevator being torn down that I'm waiting to use

I've always been a fan of board and batten. Ease of installation and I love the look.

I just found your channel...Love what you're doing for your family's business...I see some technical errors and/or improvements you could make with your siding (and related) lumber efforts from a traditional woodworking perspective and application...If you ever have questions, please do reach out, as I don't like commenting unless someone is open to feedback...Keep up the great work your doing and it's great seeing the next generation so involved in the craft of wood production and woodworking...!!!...Love to see you and your sister learn to timber frame...!!!...I think you would make great students of the craft and I don't get to many young women that know as much about wood as you seem to...

Your grandmother is quite a fine artist. Lap siding is my favorite, b&b has lots of bad memories for me.

I really like the live edge. Your videos are getting so good it's silly.

All your products look great. I've always had a preference for shakes on a roof, board & batten siding and timber framing.

@1:00 Don't use red chalk when installing shingles. Its permanent. Use blue chalk and the lines will eventually disappear.

I used to saw a 5/8" x 9" lap siding, using an inch and a half starter strip. It was very popular and went up fast. The yield out of a log was very high making it a good profit item.

That was some good info! I like the wavy edge siding. I’ve never heard/seen that style. I just lip siding the outside of my cabin in cedar and have cut pine in the kiln drying for the inside.
