As a Canadian and entrepreneur you have to plan ahead to leave the country if things continue to get worse. I'm 31 and I can't believe how lazy my generation and younger ones are. They expect to be given everything instead of working and building something for themselves. Very sad.

There’s a difference between pure Socialism, and what the Scandinavian countries have, which is capitalism with heavy social programs. I didn’t realize the difference til recently, and I think most people don’t either.

A full 1/3 of working people in Canada pay ZERO tax. The majority of all income tax collected is from the 10% who earn over $100K. So obviously most people are happy to take from others. It's a complete disincentive to achievement of any kind.

I've been witnessing and despairing at this change in Australia. Unfortunately not many have a live and let live mentality to life any more and they yearn for the government to make their hopes and dreams come true and desperately want a nanny state. The fight against it is insurmountable and futile when most of your fellow countrymen think this way. The only solution is to leave which we are doing within months.

Had an accountant at one time that told us that he worked for the government. There were five accountants in his department. There was barely enough work for one. He left due to sheer boredom. Socialism in action!

I’m in Alberta, Canada, and we have an election next week to decide who will be in government. The socialist party is polling neck and neck with the conservative (capitalist) party. It is shocking to me how many people want socialism now. God help us if they get in power…

My cousins high school had a mock election and 95 voted for socialism. I told a friend from Argentina that now lives in Canada. He looked like he was gonna cry.
