Meanwhile, his political allies have rallied around their party’s standard-bearer, widely sharing what many have described as an “iconic” image of him holding his fist in the air with blood on his face.

“Trump is indestructible,” said New Hampshire GOP Chairman Chris Ager. “It doesn’t matter who the Democrats put up. They can wring their hands about President Biden all they want. Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter who they put up.”

The U.S. soap opera that the world has enjoyed in the past few months until now is getting dramatic. The attempt on Trump's life failed and along with it Biden's dream of a second term is dashed. Ironically, it also saved the Democratic Party from the hassle of finding a replacement for Biden as defeat came down on them like a thunder strike. All Democrats on both Houses of Congress should be more concerned with saving their political future rather than bickering with each other over whoever would be more suitable as a new candidate. And to all Biden's lieutenants who have not yet wrote their curriculum vitae, time has already run out by now. Perhaps from now on White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, State Department Spokesmen Matthew Miller and Vedant Patel do not need to dodge reporters' questions and can speak their minds freely.
