Hey brother... Have always respected your compartmentalized approach! We operate the same way. We don't use a Schluter system to prep our showers, but can respect using a specific product that works. Time is $! If it's not broke then no need to change. We prefer Greenboard then permabase over to structure walls. All block for curb & bench. Ardex 701, X-7 & now X-77 to mud all permabase seems down to slab or permabase on plywood substrate. To 100% WP the structure we use Mapei HPG. We use the traditional 3pc FHA hub with EBBE drain insert & cover. The main slab/ PB substrate gets HPG. Then the pre-pitch gets poured with Paragon deckmud. That then gets the main WP with HPG to allow the best possible weeping so shower pan dries out quickly. Final is top layer of deckmud that pan mosaics or full body tile envelope gets installed on top of. All of our HPG goes up 6" above shower head on all vertical surfaces in the shower. We don't miter the curb do to the edge being weaker & suseptible to chipping. We do use natural stone to cap curb, bench & side wall build out. We polish the ⁵/16-⅜" edge with PVA pads or wet polishing based on the actual stone that's picked by HO or & Designer. We do use Jolly to trim Niches or showers that have already a recessed bench built in & the wall has a return to come back out to match the opposite wall edge. We use the jolly so mitered edge isn't used. Again enjoy & respect your approach to the industry. Take care my friend! KOKO!

Can I get a closer look at your approach to the drain there? You have a plastic square hosing that is a temp for the finished drain. Just curious the process there.

Another great video! We're remodeling our bathroom and plan to do the same thing, i.e., curbless shower with 3x6 Schluter shower pan and 12x24 tile on shower and room floors. But we couldn't find in our DFW area tile shops the right tile that looks "luxurious" because porcelain tile in matte looks very "ordinary". What tile brand and model that you're using?

Is that the 7” or 8” rigid saw? How do you like it? I was looking at the 7” rigid for myself as a DIYer and was wondering what you think of that brand saw.

Do you think a D2400 would suffice for envelope cuts?

What blade are you using on the 36000?
