I work in the casino business and I know of 2 systems personally and there relatively similar. If the dealer draws a:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 that’s +1
7, 8, 9 is 0
10, Jack, queen, king is -1

You want a positive deck to start bumping up your bets meaning there are more 10/face cards in the deck then 2-6

Absolute true count instead is this
2 is +2
3, 4, 5, 6 is +1
7, 8, 9 is 0
10, J, Q, K is -1
And The aces are +2
