A strange phenomenon happened once PCs became commonplace. People realized they needed a way to share files and information with other PC users. Sneaker Net was the first way that people did this. Sneaker Net is the humorous name for the practice of copying files to a disk and walking the disk over to another person. Sneaker Net worked, but it wasn't very efficient. People remembered how workstations shared resources via network connections. They thought that PCs might be networked in a similar way. That's when the development of the PC network began. #ComputerNetworks #Internet #Ethernet
