Programming a SYNC Gen 1 APIM with a VCM2, IDS 120.1 and the Ford PTS subscription. A male to male standard USB cable is needed for SYNC gen 1, but for newer generations a USB 32gb in eXFat is required.

Keith, With videos you do where a device is used for programming could you either let us know if we need a certain device or if something such as a capable J-2534 "J-Box" is allowed to be used. I watch the videos but some of the terminology isn't as confusing but trips me up at times. For example did you use a CarDaq Plus 3 or other OBDII programming tool?

Links to what you use would be helpful or just create a list of links and maybe create some shortcuts that post certain links based on what programming tools you're using and you select to add to comments section of video when you upload it?

hello I have a problem with my module, I get the Ford emblem and then a black screen, I removed the battery for a few minutes, I reset Syng with diagnostics and again a black screen, the radio works, but I can't adjust the frequencies, the disc is inside and I can't get it in, but it reads it and my music plays did they have any way to flash the module and what the flashing is done with

I have a Ford Edge 2015. I did a SYNC 1 to SYNC 3 conversion. I bought a ODB for forscan thinking I would have to program it. I changed out the APIM and everything and the thing is working perfectly backup camera m, screen, steering wheel controls. My APIM is from a Ford Edge 2019 though could this be the reason I didn't have to program it?

Hello brother, i just upgrade my sync 3.0 to 3.4. After the upgrade its says navigation fault how do i can downgrade and back to 3.0, if u could just give me some advice plz ?

I just bought a ford explorer 2017 base, and the middle dash screen got broken, is in blank so I have to change it but the mechanic guy told me that I have to go to my dealership to reprogramme the sync system, is this the way to programmed?

I upgraded my sync 3 4" set up to sync 3.4 8" screen while ago and used the apim module that came with new screen, I tried to use my apim but it would only show picture in top corner a 4" square so I assumed apims are set to 4" or 8" screens. Since this I've been able to use my Ford app as my modem won't recognize the apim, I'm assuming I need to go in and somehow program the new apim to communicate with the modem or is there a way to get my old apim to display on screen properly so I can just use original apim as it's matched to my modem? Thanks

I have a 2015 Ford Escape that reads the aux, usb or sync, I checked the fuses thinking they were useless but they do work. Do you think what you do will be able to solve the problem?

I recently purchased a 2017 ford f150 xl but some of the numbers and text in the center display are difficult for my wife to see. Is there any way to enlarge some of the fonts on a center display by some means?

I have had the same issue with 2018 F150 platinum. Because of this, I will never buy another Ford product. They do not support vehicles when they have defective parts. Was replaced what’s under extended warranty 20, 000 miles later save issue just out of warranty they were $1500 to look at it it’s a Ford defect should be extended warranty for lifetime.
