It’s hysterical that people in the comments (in life too tbh) get SO DAMN MAD over the sandwich thing. Like A. It’s just a joke. And even beyond that, B. It’s just a fucking sandwich. No one is telling her to wear a head dress that goes all the way to her ankles and only say the words “yes sir/ no sir.”

I'm pretty sure this is just due to how insanely popular Ludwig is vs QTCinderella. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich remarks must add up overtime, but tons of people learn of other people through yet another person. You can see this everywhere from work settings to family settings, it's no different in the streaming sphere I guess. I do agree that being INTRODUCED in that way is beyond rude, however. Someone not knowing you is one thing, a HOST placing you purposely in that position is demeaning.

The sandwich thing is fucked up, but the "oh she's ___'s girlfriend" happens to guys too, I think the issue here is that the guys get more attention in general, which in turn makes them more famous than their girlfriends. Liza Koshy and David Dobrik for example were more or less of equal standing in the online world, so they were less likely to be called each other's s/o. Even Leslie wasn't referred to as "the girlfriend" back then because she was bigger. And Lily and Michael are "their own person" as well. I think it mostly just depends on clout. It's easier to have a reference point when talking about someone the other person doesn't know.
