Whitebeards life is such a good reflection of life. If he truly wanted, he could have been King of the Pirates/The Pirate King, but all he wanted was a family. Which many in life want. A family, being around people who love them, and solid company.

Sinple character. Lots we can learn from him. No selfish desires and cared about people, and his crew.
