THANK YOU doctor for mentioning that neck lines are not necessarily from old age. I've had my necklines since I was a kid! Noticed them at about 9 years old!!

I am 45 and recently started using straight up castor oil (organic, hexane-free, glass bottle) on my neck and face (along with a good moisturizer). OMG - Try castor oil for a few weeks before throwing money at expensive products. It also has many other health benefits. I've seen the biggest benefits on my neck. Lines are disappearing, and my skin looks smoother and more plump.

My physical therapist says it takes about 3-4 weeks before a habit starts ie sleeping in your back which he says is the best position. Putting pillows underneath your knees can make this more comfortable

I learned how to sleep on my back when I brought my dog home 3.5 years ago. From day 1, he refused to sleep anywhere else but on top of me. I never had the heart to move him and he has the best cuddles anyway, so I just learned to sleep on my back so that he could sleep with me, laid across my lap. 😊

I've always been a side sleeper. It is hard for me to sleep on my back. What I have done in the past when I had some surgeries done I placed a pillow under my knees and I learned through doing my own research that having support under the knees can help keep the spine naturally straight and help release some of the pressure it can undergo during sleeping.

I tried micro needling for the first time last month, and I’m pleased with the result. I’m going to continue this. Ihave used skincare on my neck along with sun protection, and omnilux red light. I have also used the NIRA laser consistently for the past year, and have seen less crepey skin.

Tip for back sleeping: put small claw clips in your hair at the temples. They will dig in and force you to flip over. This helped me back sleep consistently so my fresh helix piercings could heal.

I just got filler in my biggest tech neck line and I’m so happy with it! It didn’t erase the problem, but for $700 it’s at least a stop gap while I use my Tret regularly and maybe save up for a laser!

I started using the Revision NECTIFIRM Advanced 4 or 5 years ago and it made a noticeable difference on my neck. It’s expensive, but for me it works.

I sleep with a very small pillow under my neck to keep the natural curve in my neck. It’s comfortable & doesn’t push my chin forward like a regular bed pillow. It can be helpful to put a pillow under the back of your knees also (as far as comfort)

I've used both the Revision Skincare and the Neostrata creams and out of the 2, I preferred the Neostrata. It left my neck and decolletage feeling hydrated and smooth. The smoothness lasted for several days (forgot to re-order prior to running out). I have tried a TON of neck and dec creams and by far, the Neostrata did the best job at minimizing these lines. I personally didn't notice any change with the Revision cream.

The way I converted from side-sleeping to back-sleeping was cocooning myself in a sleeping bag instead of using covers. Not only did the greatly decreased mobility force me to stay on my back, I also saved on the heating bill.

Very informative video! Also your makeup looks amazing and the shade of pink your sweater is so flattering on you!

Losing weight (92lbs) made a difference to mine. The neck lines are much more shallow & I was also getting creasing on my upper chest (décolletage) which are now gone. Support with lots of moisturisers, oils, retinoids, exfoliating, etc. The Ordinary also has a 0.2% retinal which is much cheaper than Medi8. Alternate nightly with a 2% retinol without issues.

Another derm said that there is a difference between “techneck” and the lines that many of us have since childhood. But to my knowledge they never explained how you tell the difference.
But of all the things that might bother me, these don’t phase me at all. As I have had them all my life, it’s just part of me. What bothers me though is the wrinkly (crepey)skin under my chin due to weight loss. Nice to know botox might help.

It’s NOT the horizontal lines that are a big deal ❗️🤷‍♀️ ITS THOSE VERTICAL LINES ❗️ the part that looks like “ old lady” neck in those photos are the wrinkles/ loose skin that’s running vertically

Adapalene gel is so effective on my neck lines. No irritation at all compared to tretinoin. Just make sure to moisturize after as it can be too drying.

everyone in my family tree have neck lines since birth.. but sometimes i am still conscious of it if someone point it out as a form of bullying. i do neck exercises some times, it does help to a small extent.
thanks for talking bout it

Never mind about the "tech neck"... I am often in the kitchen and continuously looking down while prepping, cooking, and cleaning up is a given and for the most part inevitable. Nonetheless, I'll keep trying to remediate a bit with the tretinoin. Thank you for all the tips!
