2012 Masterpiece: Celebrate the Multicultural Adelaide

Показать описание
A humble & very passionate team of over 40 talented people in Adelaide volunteered to cross cultures and language barriers, to produce a multicultural piece of magnificent art.
"The images are wild & quite capturing - I have rarely seen anything like it." Graham Wakeling, In-Business.
It all started in December 2011, a humble Chinese photographer in Adelaide approached Glamorazzi directors Roslyn Foo & Daniel Lim, with an idea to create a Masterpiece that will speak on its own. Yu Lu is a hidden talent in Adelaide, due to the language barrier, he found it hard to step out & tell the world who he is. After 6 months of planning between Roslyn Foo, Yu Lu, Nicole Bajon, Sarika Young and Stef Kristophe Nell, we involved over 40 volunteers to participate & produced this Glamorazzi 2012 Masterpiece. We had 12 models of different heritages, a stylist, 15 make up artists and hair stylists (Face Agency & independents), 5 set assistants, 3 photographers, a videographer and 2 directors worked in this one day's production that took place at Zi Gallery on 28th July 2012. All dresses were provided by local designers Alexis George and Red Pearl Couture, and handcrafted fascinators (headpieces) by Lavish Flowers. The featured wines are from Golden Harvest Wines, the stunning gold bottle with red dragon fits perfectly into our storyboard.
"I was seriously impressed with the vibrancy, professionalism & sheer hard work that the team & models put in to get such a great result." Nick Slaughter, Golden Harvest Wines.
Our message is to tell Australia, that with the passion and commitment towards art, we can cross language and cultural barriers to create excellent synergies. The designer dresses, makeup and hair styling techniques were applied to bring out the multicultural elements: French, Indigenous Australia, African, South African, Tribal, Chinese, Indian, Modern Australian, Japanese, Canadian, Spanish and a Heavenly Goddess!
This project will be published as an Photographic Exhibition on 7th Dec 2012. We will celebrate the multicultural city of Adelaide that we call home & congratulate the work of all the amazing talents & small businesses involved in this project. The Honorable Jing Lee MLC, the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs & Small Business will give an official speech. This project is 100% funded by Glamorazzi & GlamoDesign. Donations are welcome at this exhibition, pictures will be auctioned on the night, all profit to go to Opportunity International Australia as the beneficiary charity. Steven Ter Horst's Finest Chocolates, Chantelle Giardina's Macarons & Cakes, Saka Water (famous alkaline water), Golden Harvest & Fox Gordon Wines will be served in Tailors of Distinction glasses. Venue generously sponsored by Irena Zhang of Zi Gallery.
