Still watching it in 2020... This is one of my favorite ice skating performances ever. The song, the meaning the the lyrics, the power Evgenia manages to convey through her moves, her determination... She looks like a warrior, like she's been through a lot of battles (and of course she had to fight a lot...), and she's beautiful, strong, she stands. That's just beautiful, emotional, and inspiring.

in its own way, the fact that she has "lost" for the first time, makes this performance even deeper... as usually, I can feel the emotion through every conponent of this dance... dance, clothes, song and her expression. and this time, the emotion is pain.
Zagitova was better this time when it comes to technique, but this is still my favourite performance of EC 2018. let´s just hope that the rivality will now push them both towards even better and better artistry.

I love freeskate or exhibitions because they can show more emotion and allows lyrical songs alongside with skarers less worried about jumps.
