Could you believe that I was 7 years old and saw that movie, and... still remember the guy with the tie in the head, and the other with the leather hat dancing in the cars tops. I'm Old

Such a great opening. Anyone growing up in the 70s knows this instantly. The memories come flooding back as a teenager, hanging out, riding bikes, causing trouble at the mall, and hearing great music everywhere, on car radios, in shops, at McDs or Friendlies or the A&P. The soundtrack of our youth and Donna was there for all of it. Rest in Peace Donna Summer.

Today is one of my Older Sisters Birthday. She and I always danced around and sang this song, and many, many more of Donna Summers awesome, way awesome trilogy. Sabrina passed away a few years ago...and I miss her so much! She was my "Road Dog and my Ride and Die for Life!" So I lit a candle in her honor today, and am reminiscing about our love, fun, laughter and food that we shared for so many decades. Now I am currently cranking up this song and dancing with her right now, in love, spirit and truth! Happy Birthday Sabrina...love you always and forever!!!💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏

The summer of 1978 in NYC - I was a bicycle messenger by day, and part-time DJ on weekends - first met Donna in 1976 at Roseland ballroom before she had become the major star she became. Just the sweetest gal and we told her that stardom was coming ... this song was in the film Thank God It's Friday - mostly forgettable picture, except for her performance. Few knew the kind of voice she really had due to the falsetto she used on the first few albums, but there was no denying it after this. She's been gone ten whole years now, and we miss her still, always will.

This song epitomizes the whole nightclub life and self discovery.
Late night, you came for some thrill and maybe for some meaning to your life.
As the clock is ticking and soon the sun is gonna be out, you have that little despair you might end up going back home alone with your own insecurities and boredom again.
The last dance is your last chance indeed. You plead with the DJ to extend the song as much as possible. Last chance for romance.
Then the music hits you, just let’s dance. Life is worth dancing just for the sake of it.
You’re here and you’re happy. That’s all that counts.
