Arturia Oberheim OB-Xa V Tutorial Ep.4 - Arpeggiator, Portamento & Vibrato

In this episode we continue our examination of the synth by taking a look at 3 modules - Arpeggiator, Portamento & Vibrato.

The Oberheim OB-Xa was release in 1980, and at the time was one of the pre-eminent synths on the market. It was the successor to the OB-X, which appeared on Van Halen's 'Jump' as well as being the first time Queen used a synth on any of their albums (''The Game').

It's a fabulous sounding instrument, faithfully reproduced by Arturia in this software emulation.

In this series we'll deconstruct the OB-Xa and figure out how it works.

I try very hard to make my videos PRACTICAL and no-nonsense - if I don't use a feature, I'm not going to waste your time trying to sound like an expert on it! This is the stuff I use day-to-day, so I think that's also what you'd like to hear me talking about.
