Battle of Hogwarts: Draco As A Good Guy

Extended history b/c this got more views than I thought:

The filmmakers decided to film some scenes to change Draco's storyline ending and give him the redemption arc many fans (including myself) believe he should have had. They then cut this part out for unknown reasons.
The cut they were going to go with, and then one I tried to piece together in this vid, has Draco throwing his wand to Harry when it's revealed that Harry's alive.

As soon as Draco realizes Harry is alive, he runs from the death eaters, screams “POTTER!” And tosses him his own wand, heading over to the Hogwarts side. AND. THEY. DIDNT. PUT. IT. IN. THE. FINAL. CUT.

Draco wasn't a nice person, but he wasn't evil. He couldn't kill Dumbledore when he had the chance, and he couldn't kill Harry. He was just a bully, brainwashed by his father into a situation he didn't know how to get out of.

I just realized that in the books Lucius and Narcissa knew Harry was alive and they were just calling Draco so they could run away 😭.

Notice how Lucius and his wife are the only ones NOT laughing when Voldemort says: "Harry Potter is dead"..

okay three things happened. 1. Neville pulled out Gryffindor's Sword like a bad ass.
2. Harry came back to life and fell out of Hagrid's arms
3. Draco just fucking risked his life

that Draco didn't go when Lucius called him, He went when Narcissa called. He went there for his mother. He went to other side and held his mother's hand while we can clearly see him ignoring Lucius. Even Lucius hesitates to keep hand on his shoulder. THESE DETAILS 😭💗💗

I love this moment. Draco not only helps Harry throwing him his wand but going on between Voldemort and him to do it. I don't understand why they deleted this scene. The last 2 movies gave redemption to so many "unfriendly" characters like Petunia (well, they deleted that scene too), Dudly, Snape... even Mrs Malfoy helped Harry. I think Draco deserved it too.

This scene has so much meaning due to that Draco finally stood up for himself instead of his parents making him do unforgivable things. It also shows how he made a choice and has changed his title to “the boy that made the right choice” I guess the people that made the movie just couldn’t spare a few seconds of valuable time for people to see that Draco had a heart...

I wept for Draco when he looked around for someone to keep him on the good side but everyone just let him go. And then he handed his wand to Harry...he was a good guy after all 😭😭😭😭

Neville standing up against Voldemort is badass. In fact he has always exhibited tremendous moral courage, standing up against friends & foe alike for what he believes in. Neville for president 👍🏻

The thing that hurts me the most is when Narcissa called Draco and he looked around, nobody held him back. Nobody stood beside him to stop him.
