I swear I saw one in Death Valley when I was a little kid on a trip from Mammoth Mountain to LA. We used to do this trip a few times a year for most of my childhood; but one winter I KNOW I saw something that disturbed me and got me fascinated with the unknown. I remembered seeing a huge flying something with a long beak and a long tail and it terrified me.

In early 2000s I was riding my four wheeler deep through the woods in maryland (before it was all cut for housing) and I swear I saw something that resembled a pterodactyl in a stream. At first I thought it was a crane or heron until I got closer and it flew away. The wings were massive. It had to be 10+ feet tall and was bright purple. It’s been burned into my mind ever since

I swear on everything I love me and a friend when I was younger like 11 or 12, we were playing in this, best way I can describe it “log yard”. There were piles of cut down trees stacked in pyramid shapes. But the point is we both saw a massive “bird” that hid us in its shadow as it flew over, which I is why we noticed it, and I Promise you it had a spiked tip devils tail. We talk about it to this day.
