Hello friends! I decided to test out the blush placement technique I've been seeing all over Tiktok. I know a lot of my viewers don't have Tiktok, and last year when I shared another makeup trick for concealer that I saw over there, many of you seemed to really appreciate it! I honestly don't know who the TRUE originator of this technique is, so in the video I give credit to creator I learned it from.
Don't worry RDM fam, even though I am posting more often over there, I have NO plans to stop or post any less here on Youtube! Please give this video a thumbs up if you enjoy it, and subscribe if you aren't already!

Thank you to alenaavictoriaa on TT for inspiring this video! If you're on TT give her a follow!

I have also been a makeup artist for over 20 years. Early in my career, I was working for a high-end brand in a fancy department store and I had a coworker who did blush this way on herself and all of her clients. I used to think it was so weird and “geometrically inaccurate”, but her results always looked fantastic. If it wasn’t for my now amazing friend of 20 years, I never would have respected or appreciated this technique. Now that I am over 40, I am even more grateful. I also don’t use social media and I really enjoy your videos 💜

Big difference. The draping technique really lifts and compliments your face. 😀👍🏼

OMG!! I can’t believe the difference. I’ve not seen this because I don’t do tiktok or any social media really... I am DEFINITELY trying this out when I do my makeup next! 😍

I’ve been doing this technique unknowingly for years. I’ve always thought of it as “80s blush” lol! And I like it on my face shape. It’s so cool to see that it’s actually a real technique and that it’s trendy now!

I’ve been using this technique for awhile now & love it. I’m a 50 something & find it very flattering on my face shape 🥰

I'm an '80's girl and have always worn my blush this way. I've been seeing a lot of our techniques coming back.

Wow, the draping side looks "fresher" some how, beautiful, I am going to try this!!!

The new technique looks fresher and softer. I like it better!

I've been doing this for years. Blush too low drags my face down and too much contour just makes me look older.

I've been doing that for a number of years and it definitely makes a difference as I'm older. This is especially important as we age. I saw the difference right away on your face and love it on you. Hope you like it too.

I remember Suzanne Somers saying our face falls by millimeters as we age. Then the blush and highlights need to be placed up higher imo!

Wow!! I absolutely see a big difference!! Your face does look more lifted on the blush contouring side! I love 💗 how it looks!! I’m going to a birthday party this evening and I’m going to try it today! I will feel so weird without bronzer but I’m excited to try this technique and see how it looks on my face!! Great technique!

The draped side looks young and fresher while the other side looks more “make-uppy”. Great video and thanks for getting the word out. I also don’t have TikTok.

This was how I learned to place my blush (in a C shape) back in the 70s.
before there was bronzer.

I definitely like the draping better-it also makes the eyes and eye color pop!

I’ve been doing my blush like that for years. It’s a great look for you! I think blush is such a yummy thing to own that there is a temptation to put it front and center, and it turns out that doing it this way makes you the star. I hope that makes sense.

I’ve never got on the bronzing bandwagon. For some reason it always makes my face look dirty and I don’t care for the look on most women. The technique is great and it does make your face look much more lifted. 😘

I was doing my makeup while watching this video and I tried this trick along with you. It really works!! I have a slightly rounder oval face shape and I’m 45 years old and this is a game changer! Thanks for sharing this. :)
